Welcome to the World Baby #5, Owen Matthew Slate!

My Precious Baby Boy, Owen Matthew Slate, came into the world on July 12, 2011 at 11:15 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs and was 19.5 inches long.

I will never forget that very special day we welcomed you into our family. Your sweet little face and your cry brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.

Thank you, God, for this amazing gift.

Update on the Slates

Hi Everyone-

Life in the Slate house is great but very crazy with three kids. We are so very blessed and enjoying life day-by-day!

On December 17th, 2009 we welcomed Anna Claire Slate to the world! She was 7lbs. 5oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. She is healthy and a sweet little baby.

Summer is over....new beginnings!!!

It was a great summer with lots of fun memories....a visit from Uncle Mike, Jill, Uncle Matt, Aunt Kristen, and cousin Cooper, a trip to Louisiana to see BeBe, our first concert, The Wiggles Live, countless visits to the park and pool.

Camden started preschool last week. He is going Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:20 a.m. - 2:20 p.m. The first day was a little rough, but now he loves it! He enjoys music time and lunch time when he gets to use his Transformer lunchbox. He was very proud when he was able to take "Walter the Class Pet Whale" home for the weekend.

Everett still has one more year until he starts preschool. We are having a great time together at home and running errands, just the two of us. He entertains himself with puzzles, books, and playing cars. He does miss Camden when he is home and ask about him throughout the day. There seems to be less sibling rivalry and more sharing and playing when the boys are together.

Life is good in the Slate Household. We are still enjoying the pool and trying our best to stay cool!!!

The month of June, we celebrated Father's Day, Kristah's 32nd birthday, and the beginning of the second trimester for Baby Slate. It was a fun-filled month, and we all consumed way too much cake, yummy!

Summer is Here!!!!

Water! Splash! Swim! The boys are loving the heat...why? It is a perfect excuse to play in the water hose, go swimming at the neighborhood pool, and play with their water guns!!!!

Camden is diving for rings, jumping in the pool and swimming back to the side, and having a blast in the pool this year. Everett is happy splashing in the baby pool or spraying mommy, daddy, or Camden with the water hose.

Camden starts SoccerTots today with his friends from the neighborhood, 12 three-four years olds running a around kicking soccer balls, hmmmmmmmm...we'll see about that!!! Camden is also very excited about his basketball camp at the YMCA this summer. He loves SPORTS!!!

Everett has transitioned to a toddler bed...bye bye crib....hello racecar bed!!! He is becoming very independent and really starting to want to hang out with daddy more.

Dan has felt bad the entire month of May, after four doctor visits, a chest x-ray, 20 viles of blood drawn...the doctor told him he has MONO. He is feeling better, but he must limit his physical activity for a few more weeks. :( No dirtbiking for awhile.

He is Risen! Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful and joy-filled Easter! The boys loved searching for eggs and seeing the Easter bunny...oh yes, they loved all the candy too!

We are so happy to celebrate our Lord's resurrection and victory over death! He is Risen! We love you all!
